New South Wales NSW

In New South Wales, most retail and hospitality businesses that serve unpackaged, ready-to-eat food must appoint a Food Safety Supervisor — and NSW has an additional requirement: alongside the nationally recognised units, you also need the NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate. Your local council enforces both under the Food Regulation Partnership with the NSW Food Authority, and its environmental health officer will ask to see that certificate — see what NSW councils check at a food safety inspection.

Victoria VIC

In Victoria, all class 1, most class 2 and class 3A food premises must appoint a Food Safety Supervisor. Victoria then sets the units by food sector: the hospitality and retail sectors use SITXFSA005 & SITXFSA006, which is exactly what this certificate delivers. The health and community-services sectors — hospitals, aged care, childcare, Meals on Wheels — must use HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007 instead, which we do not deliver.
