Short courses — your questions answered

What is a short course?

A short course here is a nationally recognised skill set or a single unit of competency, not a full qualification. You finish it faster, and you get a Statement of Attainment that lists the units you completed.

Are these short courses nationally recognised?

Yes. Melbourne Tech Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #45799), so every short course on this page is nationally recognised.

Can a short course count towards a qualification later?

Often, yes. A unit you complete can count as credit in a qualification that contains the same unit, so you do not repeat it. Ask us which qualification it fits.

Not sure which short course you need?

Tell us your job and your state, and we will point you to the right one.
