Who needs a Food Safety Supervisor in Australian Capital Territory?
In the ACT, all registered food businesses must appoint a Food Safety Supervisor, generally within 30 days of registration. A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment satisfies the requirement (the ACT also accepts some free non-accredited courses for this purpose).
Renewal: The ACT requires approved food safety training to be completed every 5 years; a qualifying Statement of Attainment is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

Accepted training in the ACT
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the food safety units (such as SITXFSA005 & SITXFSA006) satisfies the requirement, and training must be completed every five years. The ACT also recognises some free options (such as DoFoodSafely) for food safety training — though the nationally recognised qualification is the more portable, widely accepted choice if you work or hire across states.
